Princess (Saer's affectionate name this week) was an absolute STAR. During the ticketed warm up days, she handed the chaos of ponies and scared people very well. For the record, we only almost killed one pony when I stupidly got us trapped between two horses going the opposite direction. As for her showing, she went into EVERY under saddle class determined to win. It is like she elevates herself to the competition and tries to win. Things that I thought would be spooky were not at all! For…

Learn the way mounted police have been…

Hormones!?

Alright.. so it's been a little while since I've blogged. I'm awful about staying in touch so it goes without saying that I doubt I'll be the best at keeping up with a blog. Maybe doggedness will win over consistency?

We've hit a bit of a roadblock. I've been working on myself for two years after riding a fairly hot Tb mare at another barn I've been learning how to incorporate dressage basics in myself and my horse. However, my seat has changed a bit in the past year. I used to ride…

2012 Area IV HTs

Don't forget that the Area IV 2012 season starts a week earlier than previous years on May 5 & 6 with the Spring HT at Catalpa Corners in Iowa City, IA. Just a week later, our traditional "first" event, Mill Creek Pony Club HT at Longview Horse Park in Grandview, MO kicks off in conjunction with the Mid-West Pony Clubs' Eventing Rally.  Over the weekend, organizers will be discussing the 2013 Calendar including possibly reinstating a Fall Longview.
